Wednesday Update...

Just thought I would fill you in on my grocery shopping trip, and dinner from last night.

My grocery shopping trip only took and hour, and I got everything on my list except a water filtration system.  Target didn't have the kind of system that you can install on your sink as a separate faucet, and hook into your water line.  Our old house had one of these systems, and I would really like to get another one.  I guess Carl and I are going to have to make a trip to Menards at some point to check and see if they have one there.

I bought some new cereal, Kashi Cinnamon Harvest.  I'll have to tell you how I like it.

I also bought Carl some of his Pure Protein bars... Chocolate Chip flavor this time.  These suckers are pretty pricey - $6.29 for a box - but he really likes them.

I also bought Carl some sandwhich thins for his lunchtime sandwiches.  He's been using English muffins for sandwiches because he says our regular slices of bread are just too big.  I thought these might work better for him.  I plan to try them out as well.  I've heard good things about them.  Good source of fiber it says!

Okay, so last night's dinner DID end up being spaghetti, but instead of broccoli, Carl wanted salads.  To see how I prepare our spaghetti dinner, read my post from yesterday Happy Hump Day.

In our salads:
mixed baby spring lettuce
cucumbers
mushrooms (Angie)
carrots
walnuts
feta cheese
dried cranberries (Angie)
cauliflower (Angie)

I barely put any salad dressing on my salad.  I'm starting to get to the point that I really don't even need it on there!  Tastes great without!

I did NOT have a cookie as planned.  Carl said that I needed to stop eating the cookies so there would be enough for him to have before going to gym each day.  So, I had a dark chocolate instead. (Hmph.)

After cleaning up dinner, I sliced up some fresh strawberries and put them into separate containers to have as snacks for the rest of the week.

Love the Arnold sandwich thins. We eat them at breakfast too, like a bagel or english muffin.
